Teys Australia Academy

At Teys Australia, we know that great customer experiences don’t “just happen”: they are outcomes of the skill, knowledge and dedication of our employees in delivering our promises to those customers. To support the development of our employees, Teys Australia provides coaching opportunities, secondments and projects, formal and informal learning; and creating networks of people to support employees.

At the Teys Australia Academy, our employees can access a range of development opportunities from the moment they join our business. We believe in lifelong learning strategies that provide our employees opportunities to develop career pathways while supporting our business goal of growing as a learning organisation.

Traineeships and certification

After employees complete the onboarding program, all of our sites can offer a range of educational programs starting with traineeships in Certificate II and III including Meat Processing, Value Add Processing, Feedlot Operations, Food Safety and Wastewater Operations – just to name a few. We also facilitate apprenticeships including electrical and mechanical fitters.

Employees can then undertake Certificate IV and diploma level education in Processing, Safety, Human Resources, Food Safety, Lab Technician, Administration, Finance and Frontline Management.

Training is provided through a range of partner RTOs.

Ongoing support

Beyond educational programs to support skill development, meet compliance and regulatory requirements, our Teys Australia Academy also offers leadership development, Meyers Briggs, a Women in Leadership program, as well as ongoing educational support for those following career paths that require degree qualifications.
