The Red Meat Integrity System ensures that Australian beef, sheep and goat meat is safe, ethical and high-quality. These factors can’t be left to chance, so a system of food safety measures, quality assurance and traceability has been put in place to maintain integrity.
This system consists of the National Livestock Identification System (NLIS), the Livestock Production Assurance program (LPA) and the LPA National Vendor Declaration (LPA NVD). These organisations work together to ensure the safety and integrity of the $22.9 billion Australian red meat industry.
